Kochi: Oncologist Dr K Pavithran, 63, who was heading the department of medical oncology at Amrita Hospital, passed away on Tuesday. He was undergoing treatment for an abdominal ailment.
Even while he was undergoing treatment, he would attend to his patients. He is survived by his wife Dr Seethalakshmi, pathology department head at Amrita Hospital; daughters Dr Shruthi and Sandra and son-in-law Dr Vishnu Vazhoor. The funeral will be held at 10 am at Changampuzha crematorium in Edappally on Wednesday.
