In another incident, five people lost their lives in Pali district when a jeep overturned and fell into a ditch. The accident occurred near the Rohat police station area. The victims were part of a group traveling to attend a fair. Four others sustained injuries and have been admitted to a nearby hospital.

Rising Road Fatalities

These accidents come amid rising concerns over road safety in Rajasthan. According to recent data, the state has witnessed a significant number of road accidents, with thousands of fatalities reported annually. Factors such as overspeeding, drunk driving, and poor road infrastructure are often cited as major contributors.

Authorities have urged drivers to follow traffic rules and avoid reckless driving. They also emphasized the need for better road maintenance and stricter enforcement of safety regulations to prevent such tragedies.

The families of the deceased have been informed, and post-mortem examinations are being conducted. The state government has announced compensation for the victims' families.
