A devastating road accident in the United Arab Emirates has claimed the lives of four Indian siblings and their family's domestic helper. The tragic incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday on the Abu Dhabi-Dubai motorway near Shahama, as reported by The National.

The family, hailing from the Indian state of Kerala, was returning home after attending the popular Liwa Dates Festival. The parents, Abdul Lateef and Ruksana, were traveling with their four sons and a ten-year-old daughter, Izza.

Young Lives Lost in Instant

The four brothers who perished in the crash were Ashaz (14), Ammar (12), Azam (8), and Ayash (5). According to details, Ashaz, Ammar, and Ayash died instantly at the scene of the accident. The youngest, Azam, fought for his life but succumbed to his injuries on Monday evening at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City Hospital.

Tragically, the family's 48-year-old domestic worker, who was accompanying them, also died in the collision. The parents and their daughter, Izza, survived but remain hospitalized and are currently receiving treatment for their injuries.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the local Indian expatriate community and beyond. Friends, relatives, and neighbours have expressed profound grief over the unimaginable loss of the four children and their beloved caretaker.

In accordance with the family's wishes, the bodies of the four boys will be laid to rest in the UAE.
