Bokaro: In a significant push to enhance last-mile access to digital identity services, Aadhaar Seva Kendras were inaugurated in Bokaro and Giridih districts on Wednesday. These centres aim to reduce the dependence of residents on far-off facilities for Aadhaar-related work.
Bokaro Centre Details
In Bokaro, the maiden UIDAI-run centre has been established at Bhagwati Colony in Chas municipal area (Ward No 18), near Neelam Hospital. Bokaro Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha stated, “With the launch of the centre, residents will now be able to access a full range of Aadhaar services locally, including new enrolments, name, address, mobile number and date of birth updates, as well as biometric corrections. Facilities for children’s enrolment, Aadhaar printouts, and download support are also available. Modern technical infrastructure has been installed at the centre to ensure faster and smoother service delivery.”

Giridih Centre Details
In Giridih, a similar facility has been opened near the old bridge area to ensure timely and transparent Aadhaar services at the grassroots level, under the direction of Deputy Commissioner Ramniwas Yadav. Officials said the Giridih centre can handle over 200 applications daily and is equipped with trained staff.
