Night-Time Closure of Anupam Bridge in Ahmedabad for Bullet Train Project

The National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has announced a temporary night-time closure of the Anupam Bridge in eastern Ahmedabad. The bridge will be shut from midnight to 6am on Friday, and again on June 10, June 13, and June 14, to facilitate steel bridge launching operations for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train project.

According to officials, prior approval for the closure has been obtained from the office of the Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Ahmedabad city. During the closure period, authorities will ensure proper barricading, adequate lighting, traffic indicator signage, and route diversion boards to maintain safety and minimize inconvenience for commuters.

Traffic Diversion Plan

Diversions will route two-wheelers, medium vehicles, and heavy vehicles via Kankaria Circle, Madrasi Mandir, Zagdhiya Bridge, and adjoining connecting roads towards Khokhara, Hatkeshwar, and CTM. Traffic marshals will be deployed at key junctions for coordination, regulation, and public guidance across the affected corridors.
