The Bengaluru traffic police have issued a detailed advisory for Bakrid, which will be observed on May 28, 2026. The advisory includes road diversions, parking restrictions, and other measures to ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety during the festival.
Road Diversions
Vehicles coming from the Mysore Road side heading towards Town Hall have been advised to take a diversion via Vijayanagar through Kimco Junction. This measure is intended to reduce congestion on key routes leading to the city center.
Parking Restrictions
Parking will be restricted in several areas near major mosques and prayer grounds to accommodate the large number of devotees. Commuters are urged to use public transport and avoid bringing private vehicles into these zones.
Additional Measures
The traffic police have also deployed additional personnel at key intersections to manage traffic. Commuters are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and follow the instructions of traffic police personnel.
The advisory comes as thousands of devotees are expected to gather for Bakrid prayers across Bengaluru. Authorities are taking proactive steps to minimize inconvenience and ensure a safe and peaceful celebration.
