Dog Attack Injures Three; Boar Collision Hurts Bus Conductor

Palakkad: Three persons were injured in a stray dog attack at Kallingalpadam in Kannambra, Palakkad, on Monday morning. The victims, identified as Soman, Chandrika, and Rajesh, were bitten while they were standing outside their houses. Chandrika sustained injuries to her hand and leg. All three received treatment at a local primary health centre.

In a separate incident, a bus conductor suffered serious injuries after his motorcycle hit a wild boar at Vengassery on Sunday night. Ratnesh, a native of Kizhakkenchery, was returning home after duty from Kollengode when the animal suddenly crossed the road. He lost control of the bike and fell. Ratnesh sustained a fracture to his left leg and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Alathur.

Local authorities have been alerted about the stray dog menace in the area. Residents have expressed concern over the increasing number of stray dogs and wild animals venturing into human habitats. The incidents highlight the growing human-animal conflict in the region. Further investigations are underway to ensure safety measures are implemented.
