A tragic incident occurred off the coast of Mumbai on Wednesday evening when a fishing boat capsized near Khar Danda, resulting in the death of a 55-year-old fisherman. The accident took place around 6:15 pm near the lighthouse at Warin Pada in Khar (West), according to officials. The victims were out fishing in the sea when their boat overturned.

The mishap was reported to authorities at 8:28 pm through Bandra's Bhabha Hospital. Emergency responders pulled two persons out of the water after the boat capsized. Ashok Kishan Rathod (55) was declared brought dead at the hospital. Another victim, identified as Ketan Rathod (32), was treated for injuries and later discharged against medical advice, officials said.
