KALABURAGI: At least five people lost their lives on Saturday after a Cruiser vehicle collided with a lorry near Ladlapur in Karnataka's Kalaburagi district, according to police officials. The Superintendent of Police of Kalaburagi, A. Srinivasulu, promptly visited the accident site and conducted an inspection to assess the circumstances leading to the fatal crash. Authorities have not yet confirmed the identities of the deceased, and the exact cause of the collision remains under investigation.

In a separate incident reported last month in Karnataka's Yadgiri region, seven people were killed and two children sustained injuries after a car rammed into a bus. The victims in the car were all members of the same family and were residents of Sirwar Taluk in Raichur district. Yadgiri Superintendent of Police Pruthvik Shankar confirmed that the accident occurred within the limits of Surpur Police Station. An eyewitness account indicated that the car, while attempting to overtake a tractor, collided head-on with the bus. SP Shankar stated, "We have taken the complaint from the victim's family side, and we are investigating the case."
