Four individuals were injured in a leopard attack that occurred in the Holenarsipur region of Karnataka, authorities confirmed on Thursday. The incident took place in a rural area, prompting immediate response from local wildlife and forest officials.

The attack happened when the victims, who were reportedly working in agricultural fields, encountered the leopard unexpectedly. The animal, believed to have strayed from nearby forests, attacked the group before fleeing the scene. The injured were rushed to the Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences for treatment.
Official Response
Deputy Commissioner K S Lathakumari visited the hospital to inquire about the health of the injured. She assured that all necessary medical care is being provided and that forest department teams are on alert to capture the leopard. Officials have urged residents to remain cautious and avoid venturing into areas where the animal was sighted.
