Vadodara: GSFC University has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Humber Polytechnic to strengthen student mobility, joint research, and collaborative learning initiatives as part of its efforts to expand its global academic footprint.
Agreement Formalized During Canada Visit
The agreement was formalised during a recent academic visit to Canada and the United States by a GSFC University delegation led by its president, P K Taneja, a retired IAS officer. The delegation engaged in discussions with multiple institutions before finalizing the partnership.
Scope of Collaboration
Under the partnership, the two institutions will collaborate on several key areas. These include student exchange programmes, collaborative online learning, faculty development, and joint research initiatives, officials confirmed. The MoU aims to create a framework for ongoing academic cooperation.
The MoU was signed by Taneja and Gina Antonacci, vice-president of Humber Polytechnic, at the Humber campus in Toronto. Senior representatives from both institutions were present during the signing ceremony.
Strategic International Expansion
Authorities stated that the collaboration forms part of GSFC University's broader strategy to strengthen international partnerships and enhance academic and research opportunities for students and faculty. The university has been actively seeking global linkages to provide diverse learning experiences.
The tie-up is expected to provide greater global exposure, skill development, and cross-border knowledge exchange in line with evolving academic and industry needs. Students and faculty members are anticipated to benefit from shared resources and expertise.
