Hisar: The weather in Haryana is likely to change soon, with a western disturbance expected to impact the state from April 26 onwards, bringing dust-laden winds, cloud cover, and chances of light rain, according to the agrometeorology department of CCS Haryana Agricultural University.

The agrometeorology department of CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, in its latest forecast issued on Friday, stated that a western disturbance is likely to approach the Himalayan region late on April 25. Its partial impact is expected to be observed across Haryana from the night of April 26 to April 29. During this period, the state is likely to witness partly cloudy skies and intermittent changes in wind patterns.
Expected Weather Phenomena
- Dust storms with moderate to strong winds are expected at several places, accompanied by thunder and lightning activity.
- The department has also predicted light rain or drizzle at isolated locations, while a few places may receive moderate showers during this period.
Temperature Changes
A slight drop in daytime temperatures and a marginal rise in night temperatures are also likely across the state, the forecast added. Dr. Madan Khichar, head of the agrometeorology department, explained that the changing weather conditions are in line with seasonal transitions and advised farmers and residents to stay updated with local forecasts.
Residents are advised to take necessary precautions during the dust storms and thunder activity. Farmers should protect their crops and livestock from potential damage. The department will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as necessary.
