Bhopal: The state of Madhya Pradesh is experiencing no respite from the peak of the ongoing heatwave. Day temperatures remain around 45 degrees Celsius, while night temperatures are close to 30 degrees Celsius in many areas. The temperature in Khajuraho has soared to nearly 47.5 degrees Celsius, marking the highest recorded temperature in the state this season. According to meteorological forecasts, no relief from the intense heat is anticipated for the next five days.
Temperature Highlights
In Bhopal, the day temperature on Wednesday was recorded at 42.6 degrees Celsius, which is one degree above the normal mark. The night temperature in the city stood at 29.6 degrees Celsius, three degrees higher than the usual mark. Meanwhile, Khajuraho witnessed a day temperature of 47.4 degrees Celsius, just a fraction lower than the season's peak.
Affected Districts
In the past 24 hours ending at 8:30 am on Wednesday, heatwave conditions were observed in several districts, including Raisen, Rajgarh, Vidisha, Ratlam, Rewa, Satna, Khajuraho, Sagar, Tikamgarh, Damoh, Sheopur, Datia, Guna, and Gwalior. Severe heatwave conditions were reported in Naogaon. Residents are advised to take necessary precautions to avoid heat-related illnesses.
