IIT Delhi has sent a delegation of 45 young students and researchers to Chhattisgarh as part of the Yuva Sangam initiative, a flagship program aimed at fostering cultural exchange and national integration among the youth of India.
Objective of the Program
The Yuva Sangam program, launched by the Government of India, seeks to connect young people from different states and union territories, enabling them to understand the diverse cultures, traditions, and developmental aspects of the country. Under this initiative, IIT Delhi's delegates will spend several days in Chhattisgarh, engaging with local communities, visiting historical and cultural sites, and participating in interactive sessions with their counterparts.
Delegation Composition
The team comprises 45 members, including undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as research scholars from various disciplines at IIT Delhi. The delegation is accompanied by faculty members who will facilitate the exchange and ensure a meaningful experience for all participants.
Activities Planned
During their stay in Chhattisgarh, the delegates will visit key locations such as tribal villages, industrial hubs, and educational institutions. They will also take part in workshops on local art forms, cuisine, and traditional practices. The itinerary includes interactions with local youth to discuss topics like entrepreneurship, innovation, and social development.
Expected Outcomes
