The approved package encompasses the design and construction of an elevated viaduct and 10 elevated stations along a 12-kilometer corridor stretching from Prahladpura to Pinjrapol Gaushala.

Key Details of the Corridor

The proposed stations on this stretch are: Prahladpura, Manpura, Bilwa Kalan, Bilwa, Goner Mod, Sitapura, JECC, Kumbha Marg, Haldighati Gate, and Pinjrapol Gaushala. A senior JMRCL official stated, "The issuance of the LoA is a key milestone. Construction activity on the corridor will commence shortly."

Government Push for Expedited Work

The move follows directives from Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma to fast-track the project. An official noted, "The chief minister has instructed that work on Jaipur Metro Phase-2 be expedited and tenders for the remaining stretches be invited at the earliest." The state government is now pushing to initiate tenders for the remaining 29 kilometers of the total 41-kilometer Phase-2 network.
