Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah Flight Diverted to Jaipur

A special flight carrying outgoing Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was diverted to Jaipur on Thursday due to adverse weather conditions in Delhi, officials confirmed. The flight was originally scheduled to land at Indira Gandhi International Airport but was rerouted due to heavy rainfall in the national capital.

Passengers on Board

Several senior Congress leaders and Karnataka ministers were on the flight, including state in-charge AICC General Secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala, ministers KJ George and Byarthi Suresh, legal advisor AS Ponnanna, Legislative Council member Dr Yathindra Siddaramaiah, and AICC Secretary Abhishek Dutt. Siddaramaiah was en route to Delhi to meet the party high command shortly after resigning from his post as Chief Minister.

Weather-Related Diversion

The diversion was necessitated by heavy rain and poor visibility in Delhi, which made landing unsafe. The aircraft was redirected to Jaipur airport, where it landed safely. Further travel arrangements for the passengers were being coordinated.
