According to information received, the leopard struck in the early hours of Sunday. Upon being alerted, a team from the Forest Department's Transit Treatment Centre (TTC) swiftly rushed to the location to assess the situation. While the big cat itself was not directly sighted by the time officials arrived, its presence was conclusively confirmed.
Officials based their confirmation on clear evidence left behind at the scene, including fresh pugmarks (paw prints) and blood stains. This evidence corroborated the reports from frightened locals about the predator's activity.
