Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday condemned the recent attacks on the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and signed a series of key agreements with the Gulf nation, aimed at bolstering bilateral cooperation in trade, energy, and defense sectors.

The attacks, claimed by the Houthi rebels, have been widely condemned by the international community.
Key Agreements Signed

A comprehensive economic partnership agreement (CEPA) was finalized, which is expected to boost bilateral trade from the current $60 billion to $100 billion in the next five years. The deal includes tariff reductions on a wide range of goods and services, enhancing market access for Indian exporters.
In the energy sector, an agreement was signed for cooperation in oil and gas exploration, refining, and renewable energy. Both nations agreed to collaborate on hydrogen energy projects and grid connectivity. A defense cooperation pact was also inked, focusing on joint military exercises, intelligence sharing, and counter-terrorism efforts.
Strengthening Strategic Ties
The visit underscores the deepening strategic partnership between India and the UAE. Both sides emphasized the importance of regional stability and discussed ways to enhance maritime security in the Indian Ocean region. PM Modi invited UAE companies to invest in India's infrastructure, digital economy, and space sectors.
PM Modi's visit to the UAE is part of his broader outreach to Gulf countries, aimed at strengthening economic and diplomatic ties. The agreements signed are expected to create new opportunities for businesses and contribute to the prosperity of both nations.
