Ranchi: The Southwest Monsoon, which arrived in Jharkhand on June 12, further advanced and reached the state capital on Monday.

According to PP Baburaj, scientist and director of the Met office in Ranchi, conditions are favorable for the monsoon to advance into other parts of the state over the next few days.

The Met office has predicted light to moderate rain and thunderstorms at isolated places across the state in the coming days. A yellow alert has been issued for thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds at isolated locations.
