Thane: One person was killed and another seriously injured on Thursday after their motorcycle skidded on the Mumbai-Agra highway in Thane district, hit the railing of a railway bridge and fell onto the tracks, police said.

Details of the Incident

The two individuals were hailing from Rajur Babulwadi in Akola. The 22-year-old man died on the spot, while the other person sustained serious injuries and has been hospitalized, according to officials.

The accident occurred when the motorcycle lost control and skidded on the highway, crashing into the railing of a railway bridge before plunging onto the tracks below. Emergency services responded promptly, but the young man could not be saved. The injured individual is currently receiving medical treatment at a nearby hospital.
