The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has commenced printing Class 9 textbooks on a war-footing to address supply disruptions and normalise distribution across the country. The organisation stated its commitment to ensuring timely and affordable access to quality textbooks for all students.
Supply Normalisation Underway
NCERT officials confirmed that printing presses are operating at full capacity to meet the demand for Class 9 books. The initiative aims to resolve shortages that have affected schools in several states. Steps are being taken to streamline supply chains and distribution networks, with a focus on reaching remote and underserved areas.
Commitment to Quality Education
The NCERT emphasised that it remains dedicated to providing affordable textbooks aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP). The war-footing production is part of broader efforts to ensure that every student has access to learning materials at the start of the academic session. Regular monitoring and coordination with state education departments are being conducted to track progress.
Parents and teachers have welcomed the move, hoping it will prevent delays that previously impacted classroom learning. The NCERT has also urged schools to place orders promptly to facilitate smooth distribution.
