Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday stated that his visit to Indonesia has produced a comprehensive, substantive, and forward-looking outcome, giving new momentum and deeper scope to India-Indonesia relations. During his engagements in Jakarta, PM Modi held detailed bilateral and delegation-level talks with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto at Merdeka Palace.

In a post on X, PM Modi described the meeting as productive. He noted that over the past few years, India-Indonesia relations have gained new momentum and greater depth. The talks covered a wide range of areas including trade, human resource development, agriculture, food security, and health services. As both nations are major maritime countries in the Indo-Pacific region, defense, security, and maritime cooperation were also key points of discussion.
Looking ahead, PM Modi emphasized that the two countries must work closely in fields such as space, telecommunications, artificial intelligence, public digital infrastructure, and other emerging digital technologies. He stressed the importance of collaboration in these sectors for future growth.

PM Modi Conferred Indonesia's Highest Honor
Earlier in the day, President Prabowo Subianto conferred the 'Bintang Adipurna of the Republic of Indonesia' Medal of Honor upon Prime Minister Modi. This is the highest honor of the Republic of Indonesia. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the award recognizes PM Modi's leadership in strengthening India-Indonesia friendship and furthering unity, continuity, and prosperity of Indonesia. PM Modi dedicated the honor to the people of India and the enduring bonds of friendship between the two nations.
Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal posted on X that the medal is a tribute to the India-Indonesia friendship. He highlighted that the award acknowledges PM Modi's crucial role in strengthening the partnership between the two countries.
Review of Comprehensive Strategic Partnership
The leaders reviewed the full spectrum of the India-Indonesia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, encompassing trade and investment, defense and security, and other areas of mutual interest. The discussions underscored the shared vision for a secure and prosperous Indo-Pacific region.
