Energy cooperation is a major highlight, with the Netherlands being a key partner in India's renewable energy goals. The leaders will explore collaboration in offshore wind energy, green hydrogen, and smart grids. In the technology domain, semiconductor supply chains and digital partnerships will be on the agenda.
Defence and Security Cooperation
India and the Netherlands share robust defence ties. The visit will see discussions on joint exercises, maritime security, and counter-terrorism. The Netherlands is a major supplier of defence equipment to India, and new agreements in this sector are anticipated.
Next Stops on the Tour
After the Netherlands, PM Modi will travel to Sweden for a bilateral visit and a India-Nordic summit. He will then visit Italy, Norway, and finally attend a meeting with the Indian diaspora in the United Kingdom. The tour underscores India's growing engagement with Europe in trade, investment, and strategic partnerships.
