Russian Federation Consul General in Mumbai, Ivan Fetisov, met Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel in Gandhinagar on Friday and expressed his country's interest in collaborating in the fields of shipbuilding, maritime activities, and education, according to an official statement.

Gujarat's Port-Led Development Model

Quoting the Chief Minister, the government release stated that Gujarat has been focusing on the port-led development model. Patel further mentioned that the state already has substantial infrastructure in place for ship recycling and building.

Invitations Extended

Fetisov extended an invitation to the Chief Minister to participate in the upcoming business summit in St. Petersburg, Russia. In reciprocation, CM Patel invited a Russian delegation to attend the next Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit in Gandhinagar.
