Kolhapur/Nashik: Some parts of Satara and Sangli districts on Friday evening experienced showers for around 10 to 15 minutes. The surprise rain, along with winds up to 30-40 kmph, brought much-needed relief to residents from the scorching summer heat.

Yellow Alert Issued by IMD

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Kolhapur, Satara, Sangli, and Solapur districts have a yellow alert until Saturday. Isolated heavy rain with lightning and thunderstorms are expected in some parts of these districts. Residents are advised to stay cautious and avoid unnecessary travel during adverse weather conditions.

Forecast for Nashik

The IMD has forecast light rainfall in Nashik on Saturday. The weather department continues to monitor the situation and will provide updates as necessary. The sudden change in weather patterns comes as a welcome respite from the ongoing heatwave in the region.
