INDORE: In a tragic incident late Saturday night, three labourers lost their lives and two others sustained serious injuries after a mini truck loaded with onion sacks overturned near Berkhedi Fata under Piplarawa police station limits in Dewas district. The injured workers were promptly admitted to the government hospital in Sonkatch for medical treatment.
Accident Details
According to police officials, the accident occurred when the driver lost control of the vehicle while attempting a U-turn. Several labourers were seated at the rear of the mini truck alongside heavy onion sacks. When the vehicle overturned, the workers became trapped beneath the heavy load, leading to the fatalities.
Rescue Operation
Upon receiving information about the accident, police rushed to the scene and launched a rescue operation with the assistance of local residents. The rescue efforts continued throughout the night as teams worked tirelessly to extricate those trapped under the overturned vehicle and the sacks of onions.
The injured labourers were immediately shifted to Sonkatch government hospital, where doctors declared three others dead upon arrival. The bodies have been sent for postmortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
