A serious accident occurred on National Highway 33 in Hazaribag district on Thursday when a 14-wheeler truck collided head-on with a trailer, resulting in a fire that engulfed both vehicles. The incident took place at Itkhori More in the Padma block area of the highway.

The truck was transporting a consignment of soft drinks from Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh to Hazaribag. Meanwhile, the trailer was carrying sponge iron material. The impact of the collision caused goods from both vehicles to spill onto the road, which subsequently caught fire, leading to a dramatic blaze.
