The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) trust board has resolved to construct a temple dedicated to Goddess Padmavathi Ammavari in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. The proposed temple will be located near the Sri Balaji temple, which is already under construction by the TTD.
Key Resolutions Passed by TTD Trust Board
Briefing reporters on the key resolutions passed on Wednesday, Chairman BR Naidu stated that board member Sourabh Bora has consented to bear the entire construction cost of the Sri Padmavathi Ammavari temple in Navi Mumbai.
Infrastructure and Amenity Upgrades
The trust board resolved to construct additional toilets along the free darshan queue lines stretch between ATGH and Bata Gangamma temple at Tirumala, spending ₹4.5 crore for the convenience of common devotees. Additionally, the board approved an extra allocation of ₹43 crore for amenities and infrastructural improvements across all TTD educational institutions.
To meet the burgeoning water needs, the TTD board sanctioned ₹6 crore for laying an additional pipeline from Gogarbham dam to the Filter House at Tirumala. Furthermore, ₹36.9 crore was sanctioned for the construction of a seven-storey mega Maharaja Gokulam at the TTD temple near Venkatapalem, close to the state capital Amaravati. These funds will also be used for the construction of Ayina Mahal, Radha Mandapam, Arjitha Seva Mandapam, Pushkarini, and Sri Anjaneya Swamy temple.
Decongestion and Financial Assistance
To decongest the Alipiri checkpoint, TTD has proposed creating an additional checkpoint exclusively for APSRTC buses and cargo trucks near Vinayaka Swamy temple close to Alipiri. The board also hiked financial assistance from ₹5,000 to ₹10,000 under the Dhoopa-Deepa Naivedyam scheme.
Committees and Renaming
TTD has constituted a committee to study the donor privileges system and another committee to resolve house site allocations for employees. The board also approved an expert committee proposal to rename important roads and landmarks at Tirumala with spiritual names.
Chairman BR Naidu stated that the board will soon take forward proposals for constructing a mega accommodation facility near Alipiri in Tirupati. Other key resolutions were also passed on Wednesday. Officials present included TTD EO Muddada Ravichandra, Additional EO Ch Venkaiah Chowdary, Board members G Bhanu Prakash Reddy, Panabaka Lakshmi, Shantaram, and others.
