UAE Denies Reports of USD 3 Billion Transfer to Iran, Calls Claims False
UAE Denies USD 3 Billion Transfer to Iran, Says Reports False

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ministry of Foreign Affairs has categorically denied recent media reports claiming that USD 3 billion was transferred to Iran. The ministry described the allegations as "entirely false and unfounded" and clarified that no frozen Iranian funds have been released, transferred, or routed through the UAE.

Official Denial and Call for Accuracy

In a statement posted on X, the official account of the UAE's Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the reports published by certain international media outlets are completely baseless. The ministry stressed that no frozen Iranian funds have been released, transferred, or facilitated through the UAE. It also urged media organizations to rely only on official sources and ensure accuracy while reporting, refraining from publishing or circulating unverified information and unfounded allegations.

US Vice President Also Dismisses Similar Claims

Earlier, US Vice President JD Vance dismissed reports suggesting that Iran would receive financial incentives merely for signing a peace deal between Washington and Tehran aimed at ending hostilities in West Asia. Vance called such claims "fake information" in a post on X. He asserted that no cash payments or release of funds were tied to the signing of a deal aimed at reopening the Strait and addressing concerns surrounding Iran's nuclear programme. Vance explained that the proposed arrangement was designed to prioritize the security interests of the United States and its allies, while offering the possibility of broader regional economic benefits if Iran complies with its commitments.

Vance further stated that the deal is structured to ensure that US and allied concerns are prioritized, and that economic benefits will flow to Iran and the entire region only if the Islamic Republic meets its obligations. He expressed optimism that such a deal could remake the region and lead to lasting peace.

The UAE's denial comes amid heightened tensions and diplomatic efforts in West Asia, with both the UAE and the US emphasizing the importance of relying on official sources for accurate information.
