Bihar Weather: Pleasant Days Ahead, IMD Issues Fog Alerts

Pleasant Weather Conditions Expected Across Bihar This Week

The India Meteorological Department issued a weather bulletin on Wednesday, bringing good news for Bihar residents. Maximum temperatures across the state will likely hover between 20°C and 26°C over the coming week. This forecast promises a break from the winter chill and more manageable outdoor conditions.

Steady Temperatures with Gradual Warming Trend

Temperatures should remain steady for the next few days before showing a gradual rise. Meteorologist Sanjay Kumar from IMD Patna explained the change. "Westerly winds have slowed down significantly," he said. "This reduction in wind speed has decreased the chill factor, making the overall weather much more pleasant."

The IMD has not issued any major weather alerts for most areas. However, they did release a dense fog warning for specific districts. Residents in West Champaran, East Champaran, Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Madhubani, Supaul, Araria, and Kishanganj should exercise caution over the next two days.

Clear Skies and Comfortable Nights Ahead

Weather patterns indicate clear skies and warm afternoons will likely prevail through the weekend. Nights will stay comfortably cool with minimum temperatures expected to range between 8°C and 12°C. This combination creates ideal conditions for daily activities and outdoor relaxation.

Wednesday's weather across Bihar remained dry over the past twenty-four hours. Patna recorded a maximum temperature of 21.6°C and a minimum of 10.9°C. Most districts showed no significant changes in their temperature readings.

Kishanganj registered the state's highest maximum temperature at 26.3°C. Meanwhile, Sabour, Dehri, and Aurangabad recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 7°C. Foggy conditions in some districts reduced visibility significantly. Valmiki Nagar and West Champaran districts reported the poorest visibility at just 50 metres.

Residents Welcome the Pleasant Change

Bihar residents are already enjoying the improved weather conditions. Archie, a NEET aspirant living on Boring Road, shared his experience. "My tuition classes start at 7am every morning," he explained. "The winter months made commuting very difficult, but now it's much more manageable. The wind has calmed down, and I don't need to wear as many layers of clothing anymore."

Amit Singh, who works at a bank, expressed similar relief. "Riding my bike through early morning fog was becoming both dangerous and exhausting," he said. "With the sun appearing more regularly and the winds dying down, my daily commute to work has become much easier."

Saumya, a Bailey Road resident, described how the weather has improved family time. "Soaking in the afternoon sun on our terrace these last few days with my grandparents has been the best part of my day," she said. "I really hope this pleasant weather continues for a longer period."
