Government Degree College (GDC), Salooni, in collaboration with the Global Forum for Sustainable Rural Development (GFSRD), will organize an international virtual symposium on June 5 to mark World Environment Day. The event will take place from 4 pm to 6 pm and aims to raise awareness about environmental conservation, sustainable development, climate resilience, and inclusive approaches to addressing ecological challenges, particularly in the Himalayan region.

Symposium Objectives and Organizers

The symposium is being organized under the aegis of Dr. Mohinder Slariya, Principal of GDC Salooni and global head of the GFSRD-Centre for Inclusive Development. The event is designed to bring together academicians, researchers, students, policymakers, environmental experts, civil society representatives, and community stakeholders from India and abroad. The goal is to foster interdisciplinary dialogue on pressing environmental concerns and explore sustainable solutions.
