Haryana Records Temperature Decline, Rain Expected in Gurgaon

Across Haryana, the average maximum temperature decreased by 0.9°C compared to the previous day, remaining 1.8°C below the seasonal norm. The highest maximum temperature in the state was noted in Bhiwani at 33.3°C.

Gurgaon Weather Update

In Gurgaon, Saturday brought partly cloudy conditions with a notable drop in temperatures. At the Gurgaon KVK observatory, the minimum temperature fell to 19.7°C from 22.4°C the day before, while the maximum temperature decreased to 30.8°C from Friday's 32.8°C. Meanwhile, the NorthCap University monitoring station recorded a minimum of 20.2°C and a maximum of 32.7°C.

IMD Forecast for Rain and Temperature Changes

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), rain activity is anticipated in the coming days due to a fresh western disturbance expected to impact northwest India starting April 7. Under its influence, light to moderate rainfall is likely at several locations in Haryana, including Gurgaon, on Tuesday and Wednesday. Isolated areas might experience light rain on April 5 and April 6, primarily in the northern and western regions of the state.

The weather department further indicated that temperatures are unlikely to change significantly over the next 24 hours. However, the maximum temperature is projected to increase by 2-3°C over the following two days, succeeded by a gradual decline of 3-5°C in the subsequent two days as the western disturbance becomes active.

Air Quality Improvement in Gurgaon

Concurrently, the air quality index in Gurgaon improved to the 'moderate' category on Saturday, after remaining in the 'poor' category for the preceding two days. The AQI measured 148, a significant improvement from 295 on Friday.
