The IMD yellow alert covers six districts including Kanniyakumari, Ramanathapuram, Tiruppur, Tenkasi, Thoothukkudi and Tirunelveli. Specific dates for expected rainfall in Tamil Nadu include November 12, 17 and 18 when light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms is likely. Meanwhile, Kerala and Mahe are anticipated to receive similar weather conditions on November 12 and 13.
The forecast also indicates that Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema could witness heavy showers on November 17 and 18. This weather pattern suggests an active monsoon period across southern India, with multiple states preparing for significant rainfall activity in the second week of November.
