In a phone call with his British counterpart, Araghchi cautioned that allowing the US to utilize British military bases could be interpreted by Tehran as "participation in aggression."
During the conversation, Araghchi criticized the UK's "negative and biased" stance toward recent US-Israeli actions targeting Iran. He emphasized that granting Washington access to UK bases "will certainly be considered participation in aggression."

In response to Iran's warning, a Downing Street spokesperson clarified the UK's position. The spokesperson stated that the United Kingdom permitted US access to its bases "for a specific defensive and limited purpose" following Iran's strikes across the Middle East.
