In a distressing wildlife incident, an adult male leopard was discovered deceased along National Highway 76, which connects Prayagraj and Mirzapur, on Wednesday night. The animal is believed to have succumbed after being struck by an unidentified vehicle while attempting to traverse the busy roadway.

Meja range officer Ajay Singh confirmed the details, stating that the information was initially relayed by local police authorities. A rapid response team was dispatched to the site without delay, where they secured the leopard's carcass and transported it to the Meja range office for a thorough examination.
