Ludhiana Temperatures Below Normal, Rain Expected

Ludhiana: A day after rain lashed the city, temperatures in Ludhiana remained below normal on Monday. The met department has predicted chances of rainfall activity in the coming days.

It was windy in the city on Monday morning even as it remained sunny throughout the day. The sunny weather failed to push the maximum (day) temperature much in Ludhiana as it was recorded at 31.8 degrees Celsius, which is 6.2 degrees less than normal and 1.6 degrees less than the day before. Night temperature was also recorded at 4.1 degrees lower than normal at 17.6 degrees, which is 0.4 degree less than the previous day.

As the temperatures were recorded lower than normal on Monday, the met department predicts 'partly cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers' in the next three days. It also forecasts below-normal temperatures during the next few days in Ludhiana.

'The rain has brought much-needed relief from heat, and temperatures are quite pleasant. If the showers continue over the next few days, it will be beneficial for the people,' said Ranjit Singh, a resident.

Another city resident Manoj Kumar said pleasant weather had added to the morning charm. 'With cool breeze blowing after the recent rain, it was refreshing to step out for a walk. The surroundings felt cleaner and greener, making it a great experience to be outdoors and enjoy nature,' he said.

Residents are advised to stay updated on weather forecasts as the met department continues to monitor the situation. The below-normal temperatures are expected to persist, providing a respite from the usual heat.
