Railways Street Play at Patna Junction Boosts Environment Awareness

In an initiative to promote environmental conservation and cleanliness ahead of World Environment Day, the Indian Railways organized a street play at Patna Junction on Tuesday. The event was held under the Danapur division of the East Central Railway (ECR).

Street Play Highlights Environmental Concerns

Railway artists delivered a powerful message on the importance of maintaining hygiene, protecting the environment, and preserving ecological balance. Through songs, dialogues, and dramatic performances, the artists highlighted the harmful effects of pollution and stressed the need for collective efforts to safeguard nature, said Danapur Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (DCM) Abhinav Siddarth.

Passengers Engage with the Performance

According to Siddarth, the street play drew the attention of passengers and visitors at the station, many of whom stopped to watch the performance. The artists urged people to adopt eco-friendly practices, avoid littering, reduce plastic use, and contribute to keeping railway premises and public places clean. The awareness campaign was organized as part of preparations for World Environment Day, observed annually on June 5.
