Western Disturbance to Bring Gusty Winds and Light Rain to Parts of Rajasthan
JAIPUR: A Western Disturbance is expected to impact parts of Rajasthan on Friday, bringing gusty winds and isolated light rainfall to several districts, while the rest of the state is likely to experience predominantly dry conditions, as per the latest update from the Meteorological Centre in Jaipur.
Affected Districts and Weather Conditions
The weather office has issued a forecast indicating that districts including Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Churu, Jhunjhunu, Jaipur, Alwar, Kotputli, Behror, Dausa, and adjoining areas may witness strong winds with speeds ranging from 40 to 50 kilometers per hour. These gusty winds are anticipated to be accompanied by light rain at isolated locations, potentially providing temporary relief from the prevailing heat.
Current Temperature Trends Across Rajasthan
According to the Met department, maximum temperatures across Rajasthan are currently hovering between 40 and 42 degrees Celsius. In the past 24 hours, Barmer recorded the highest temperature at 42.9 degrees Celsius, which is 3.2 degrees above the normal seasonal average for this time of year.
Expected Temperature Fluctuations
The influence of the Western Disturbance system is projected to cause a marginal drop of 1 to 2 degrees Celsius in temperatures in the northern parts of the state on Friday. However, this cooling effect is expected to be short-lived, as temperatures are forecast to gradually rise again by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius in the subsequent days, according to meteorological experts.
Residents in the affected districts are advised to stay updated with real-time weather alerts and take necessary precautions against the strong winds and potential rainfall. The weather pattern highlights the dynamic nature of Rajasthan's climate, with rapid shifts between dry spells and brief wet conditions influenced by external weather systems like the Western Disturbance.
