Saudi Arabia Announces Final Umrah Visa Deadlines and Entry Rules

As the annual Umrah season nears its conclusion, Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has issued crucial announcements regarding visa deadlines, entry permissions, and stay durations for pilgrims. The ministry has clarified that the last date for issuing Umrah visas for the current season will be the first day of Shawwal. Pilgrims holding these visas will be allowed to enter the Kingdom until Shawwal 15, with the final date for their stay set as the first of Dhul Qada. After this date, all Umrah pilgrims are expected to have completed their visits and departed the country.

Strict Compliance Emphasized for Hajj Season

During the 17th periodic meeting held virtually on Saturday, ministry officials underscored the necessity for strict adherence to regulations governing the upcoming Hajj season. The ministry reiterated a critical rule: Hajj rituals must only be performed with a valid Hajj visa, and Umrah visas cannot be used for this purpose. This clarification aims to prevent any confusion among pilgrims and ensure proper procedures are followed.

Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah praised Umrah companies for their cooperation and efforts, particularly during the Ramadan period. He acknowledged their vital role in serving pilgrims, addressing cases involving stranded individuals, and facilitating their return journeys to home destinations. Dr. Al-Rabiah also stressed the importance of continuing to follow all operational guidelines related to the Umrah season.

Operational Guidelines and Future Initiatives

The ministry highlighted several operational measures, including ensuring staggered arrival schedules for pilgrims at airports and regularly updating departure information through the Nusk Masar platform. This platform is used to manage travel and service data for visitors, enhancing efficiency and support.

In addition, Dr. Al-Rabiah invited Umrah companies to participate in the third edition of the Umrah and Visit Forum 2026. This forum aims to bring together industry partners and organizations involved in pilgrimage services to foster collaboration and innovation.

Review of Current Season and Vision 2030 Alignment

During the meeting, officials reviewed key indicators from the current Umrah season and highlighted achievements recorded so far. Discussions also covered preparations for the upcoming Umrah and Visit Forum, focusing on its role in strengthening partnerships, exchanging expertise among service providers, and presenting opportunities to improve services for pilgrims and visitors.

This meeting is part of regular consultations organized by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah with Umrah companies. These sessions are designed to strengthen coordination with sector partners, monitor service development, and ensure better support for pilgrims throughout their journeys. The initiative aligns with the broader goals of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, which seeks to enhance the overall experience for Umrah pilgrims and visitors to the Kingdom.
