Kanksa: Two persons were killed in a lightning strike at Gopalpur Uttarpara in Kanksa, West Burdwan on Saturday afternoon around 2 pm, reports Mohammad Asif.
Incident Details
According to police, the two were sitting near a field when lightning struck them. They were taken to hospital, where the medical officer declared them dead.
Victims Identified
The deceased have been identified as Gokul Nandi, 56, and Sourav Gayen, 28, both residents of Gopalpur in Kanksa.
