Farmers in Varanasi are expressing deep concern about the potential damage to their wheat crops due to the unseasonal rain. Fields in areas like Rohaniya and Mohansarai have been drenched, raising fears of crop losses. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Varanasi recorded a maximum temperature of 30.2 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 22.6 degrees Celsius on Friday. District Agriculture Officer Sangam Singh has provided guidance for farmers facing issues with the toll-free registration process. He recommended that those unable to register via phone submit written claims directly at the District Agriculture Office or the office of the deputy director of Agriculture to seek insurance compensation for crop damage.
