A 23-year-old man died and another was seriously injured when a speeding pick-up van struck their motorcycle near Tilaiya Basti of Kolhuakala panchayat in Barhi block on Wednesday. The pick-up van driver, identified as Babu Kumar, has been arrested, according to police.
Details of the Incident
The officer in charge of Barhi police station, Vinod Kumar, stated that the deceased was Vishal Kumar Singh (23), a resident of Indarwa village. The injured person was his brother-in-law, Gautam Singh. They were traveling to their aunt's house at Mahuatand Bela village in Barhi block when the accident occurred.
Medical Response
Both victims were taken to the Barhi sub-divisional hospital. Doctors referred Gautam to Hazaribag for further treatment, while Vishal's body was handed over to his family members.
Vishal Kumar Singh of Indarwa village died in the accident. Authorities are investigating the incident.
