A buffalo died and several others sustained injuries when the roof of a dairy farm caved in at Bhainibagha village in Mansa district due to high-velocity winds that lashed the region on Thursday. The roof, constructed with asbestos fibre sheets and iron girders, collapsed and struck a number of buffaloes. One buffalo was fatally hit in the head by a falling girder.

The dairy farm, situated in the fields of Bhainibagha village, belonged to Charan Singh, a former sarpanch of the village. The same village also experienced a hailstorm that accompanied the high winds. The incident highlights the vulnerability of makeshift structures during extreme weather events.
