In a tragic incident on Tuesday, a private travel bus traveling from Hyderabad to Anantapur met with a serious accident near Vannedoddi village in the Gooty mandal of Anantapur district. According to the Gooty police, the driver lost control of the vehicle while attempting to avoid a collision with a speeding truck coming from the opposite direction. The bus swerved off the road, plunged into nearby agricultural fields, and overturned three times before coming to a halt.

The accident occurred around midday when the bus was navigating a curve near Vannedoddi. Eyewitnesses reported that the truck was traveling at high speed and encroached into the bus's lane, forcing the driver to take evasive action. Despite his efforts, the bus veered dangerously and eventually capsized after rolling multiple times. The impact left the bus severely damaged, with windows shattered and seats dislodged.
Injuries and Rescue Operations
A total of 30 passengers sustained injuries ranging from minor bruises to fractures. Local residents and passers-by quickly rushed to the scene to assist the trapped passengers.
