The agreement was finalised and signed during the 3rd Special Cambodia-Thailand General Border Committee (GBC) meeting. This high-stakes gathering took place on December 27, 2025, at the Prom-Pak Kard Permanent Border Checkpoint. This location sits between Cambodia's Pailin Province and Thailand's Chanthaburi Province.
The meeting was notably conducted under the observation of a joint ASEAN Observer Team (AOT). Leading the delegations were two key defence figures: His Excellency General Tea Seiha, who serves as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence of Cambodia, and His Excellency General Nattaphon Narkphanit, the Minister of Defence of Thailand.
Terms and Commitment of the Agreement
The core outcome of the meeting was the adoption and signing of a Joint Statement. In this document, both kingdoms reaffirmed their firm commitment to fully implement the ceasefire.
