NEW DELHI: Max Hospital in Saket reported on Thursday that 15 individuals injured in a fire at a hotel in Delhi's Hauz Rani area are currently receiving treatment at the facility, including 13 foreign nationals. The hospital issued a statement confirming that six patients are on ventilator support, while emphasizing that all admitted patients are stable and showing signs of recovery, according to news agency PTI.
Patient Condition and Treatment
According to the hospital, nine patients are being treated in the intensive care unit (ICU) and general wards, and their overall condition remains stable. The hospital also mentioned that one patient is likely to be discharged later in the day. The statement further noted that there are currently no extremely critical patients, although the extent and severity of injuries vary among those admitted.
Doctors are closely monitoring a patient who underwent spine surgery on Tuesday, the hospital added. The hospital is providing comprehensive treatment and regular monitoring to all admitted patients, the statement said.
Fire Incident Overview
The update comes a day after a massive fire broke out at the Flourish Stay B&B in south Delhi's Hauz Rani area, killing 21 people, including several foreign nationals, and injuring many others. The fire incident has raised concerns about safety standards in the area.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire, and efforts are underway to provide medical assistance to the injured. The hospital continues to coordinate with local officials to ensure the best possible care for the victims.
