A tragic road accident in Noida claimed the life of a factory worker and left another critically injured on Wednesday evening. The incident occurred when a speeding truck rammed into their motorcycle from behind on Sector 67 Road.
Details of the Accident
According to police, the accident took place around 8:30 PM when Pyaruddin Mirza and his coworker Anil Kumar were returning home after work. The truck, bearing a Haryana registration number, hit their motorcycle with such force that Mirza died on the spot. Kumar was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Eyewitnesses reported that the motorcycle was severely damaged in the crash. Mirza's brother-in-law, Sheikh Azam, filed a complaint at the Phase-3 police station.
Police Investigation
Officers stated that a case has been registered against the unidentified truck driver based on the vehicle number provided by witnesses. Efforts are underway to trace the accused driver and seize the truck involved in the accident. The police are reviewing CCTV footage from the area to identify the driver.
The incident has once again highlighted the issue of reckless driving on Noida's roads. Local residents have demanded stricter enforcement of traffic rules and better road safety measures to prevent such tragedies.
