Two suspected Hezbollah drones struck an Israeli military zone in northern Israel near the Lebanese frontier, escalating tensions along the Israel-Lebanon border. The unmanned aircraft crossed into Israeli territory, triggering air raid sirens across communities in the Western Galilee and causing panic among residents, many of whom sought shelter.
The Israel Defense Forces confirmed that no injuries were reported, but the incident occurs during some of the heaviest fighting between Israel and Hezbollah in recent weeks. The IDF also reported additional drone alerts in border communities and ongoing military operations in southern Lebanon.
This attack marks a significant escalation, as it targeted a military hub that was bombed twice by Arab aircraft, and the IDF's Iron Dome defense system was reportedly overwhelmed. The situation remains volatile, with both sides engaged in frequent exchanges of fire.
