The incident occurred in Jaswapur village under the Gajner police station limits, where residents noticed the suspicious object and alerted the police.

Upon receiving the information, police and district administration officials swiftly arrived at the location. As a precautionary measure, the entire area was cordoned off to ensure public safety. The bomb squad and a Forensic Science Lab (FSL) team were summoned to examine the object. The discovery caused a stir, drawing many villagers to the site out of curiosity.

Deputy SP Sanjay Singh, who reached the spot, stated that the recovered item appears to be a mortar, a type of explosive military device.
