A tragic incident occurred near the Mumbai port premises on Monday, where the chief officer of an oil vessel lost his life while cleaning a tank. The deceased has been identified as Harsha Rajan, a 43-year-old resident of Chennai.
Incident Details
According to reports, Rajan was engaged in cleaning the tank of the oil vessel when he suddenly felt dizzy and collapsed inside the tank. His fellow crew members immediately noticed his absence and raised an alarm.
Rescue Efforts
The crew members, with the assistance of a rescue team, managed to extract Rajan from the tank. He was promptly administered preliminary medical aid at the vessel's onboard hospital. Despite their efforts, Rajan showed no signs of response and was later declared dead by medical personnel.
Police Investigation
